Postdoctoral Researcher Soonshin joined the group in Fall 2015. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at UCSD and his M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in Korea. Soonshin is working on projects involving wearable thermoelectric and heat transport in nanoscale materials.

He joined UC San Diego in 2010 as a member of Prof. Sungho Jin's research team and contributed to advanced materials research while completing his M.S. and Ph.D. Prior to enrolling at UC San Diego, Calvin worked with Prof. Brent Adams on high resolution orientation imaging microscopy techniques.
