Prof. Renkun Chen joined the UCSD faculty in November 2009. Prior to joining UCSD, Chen did his doctoral work in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley from 2004-2008 and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley Lab, both working with Prof. Arun Majumdar

Tianshi Feng

Tianshi Joined the group in Fall 2018. He obtained his BS degree in Alternative Energy Science and Engineering at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China) in 2018. Tianshi is working on modeling and simulation in several different heat transfer problems.

Ka Man Chung

Sarath Reddy Adapa

Xintong Zhang

Xintong joined the group in Fall 2020. He obtained his B.S. in the Department of Automotive Engineering, Tsinghua University (China) in 2019. He is currently pursuing his PhD degree after completing his M.S. at UCSD in Spring 2021.

Wonjae Jeon

Postdoc

Wonjae joined the group in January 2021. He obtained both his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Ph.D. in Thermal Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University (South Korea) in 2011 and 2018, respectively. Wonjae is investigating nanoscale heat transport including surface phonon polariton resonance and phonon hydrodynamics.
